Michael + Amber // A Celtic Themed Wedding Chickasha, Oklahoma

This was seriously one awesome wedding! In fact, the groom is actually my brother!! Brandon, Cadence and I made the 8 hour drive from Bay City, Texas all the way up to Chickasha, Oklahoma for their big day. That was definitely a HUGE task on our part traveling that long of a road trip with an 5 month old. Hello to super fast diaper changes and feedings Chinese-fire-drill style!

Since they started dating, Michael and Amber really got into researching their Irish ancestry hence the Irish theme and kilts, and they came across some really cool facts about both sides of their families. They even set off to Ireland to discover more while on their honeymoon. How cool is that? Man, I'd LOVE to photograph a wedding overseas! And Ireland, well that would just be the icing on the cake!!

Their wedding was held at one of their friend's house in the back yard. That pool tho. Just gorgeous! The Tudor style home fit so well with everything about the wedding. They wanted a lot of their ceremony to be traditional Irish from the rope knot they tied, their rings down to the guys' kilts. I even asked Michael if he was going commando under his kilt...he just winked at me. Ha!

I'm so thankful they allowed me to photograph their wedding for them! Enjoy some of my favorites from their big day.

And I just had to sneak in a picture of me and my brother! So happy for you, Michael! <3
